Liquid composition and method for its manufacture The present invention relates to compositions and methods for the delivery of carbon monoxide (co) to subjects suffering from inflammatory, cardiovascular, sickle cell and other diseases. The compositions are liquids, including Newtonian liquids and non-Newtonian liquids, such as pastes, gels, foams, emulsions and other non-gaseous compositions, wherein the co is dissolved in an amount which, when administered to a patient, provides a therapeutic amount. or prophylactically effective co for the patient.
