abstract | tanning process with non-metal. the present invention relates to tanned leather, skin or fur which is produced by non-metal tanning, comprising the step of tanning a leather, skin or fur tanned with a tanning agent (a), the tanning agent tanning (a) being at least one compound of formula (i) and formula (ii), where hal means fluorine or chlorine, r1 means hydrogen, c ~ 1 ~ - ~ 8 ~ alkyl or an alkyleneoxy radical (iii), - (c ~ 2 ~ - ~ 3 ~ - alkylene- o-) qh (iii), r ~ 2 ~ means a) phenyl, mono- or disubstituted with so ~ 3 ~ m or co-om and, optionally also substituted with hydroxyl or c ~ 1 ~ - ~ 4 ~ -alkyl or c ~ 1 ~ -4 ~ -alkoxy, or b) naphthyl, mono- or di- or tri-substituted with only ~ 3 ~ me, optionally also substituted with hydroxyl, or c) c ~ 1 ~ - ~ 8 ~ -alkylene, substituted with (so ~ 3 ~ m) or (coom), or d) a radical of formula (iv), - (c ~ 2 ~ - ~ 3 ~ -o-) py (iv ), e) or a radical of formula (iva), (c ~ 2 ~ - ~ 3 ~ -alkylene-o-) p - c ~ 2 ~ - ~ 3 ~ -alkylene-o-) p - c ~ 2 ~ - ~ 3 ~ -alkylene - so ~ 2 ~ ch2o-y (vat), m means 1 or 2, p means 0 or 1, y means hydrogen or -so ~ 3 ~ m, q is 1 to 10, m means hydrogen or an alkali metal cation or an ammonium cation, the ammonium cation being an amine protonated tertiary or a quaternary ammonium cation, r ~ 3 ~ means hydrogen or chlorine, in a tanning bath, the tanning bath having a pH of 6 to 10 at the beginning of the tanning stage. |
