abstract process for converting mixed polyethylene waste to produce waxes and greases by catalytic depolymerization and process for converting primary polyethylene granules to produce waxes and greases through catalytic depolymerization. The present invention describes a mixed polyethylene residue depolymerization process. In one embodiment, in a process for converting mixed polyethylene residue to produce waxes and greases by catalytic depolymerization, the mixed polyethylene residue is preheated to form a fused mixed polyethylene residue. then the depolymerization reaction utilizes a catalyst in a high pressure reactor at a desired temperature using heaters in the high pressure reactor. The catalyst is disposi on a stirring paddle. The progression of the depolymerization reaction of the molten mixed polyethylene residue is allowed to continue until the pressure in the high pressure reactor reaches a desired value. the heaters are switched off and the depolymerization reaction of the molten mixed polyethylene residue is stopped when the pressure in the reactor reaches the desired value. The mixed polyethylene residue is converted to wax or grease.
