abstract |
improved alkylation process. The present invention relates to an improved process for producing an alkylated aromatic compound of at least one partially untreated alkylable aromatic compound having catalyst poisons and an alkylating agent, wherein said flux of said alkylable aromatic compound is treated for reducing catalyst poisons with said treatment composition having a surface area to surface volume ratio greater than or equal to 12 cm ^ -1 ^ (30 in. ^ -1 ^) in a treatment azone separated from a zone of alkylation reaction under treatment conditions including a temperature of about 30 ° C and about 300 ° C to form an effluent comprising said treated alkylatable aromatic compound. |
