titleOfInvention | processes for producing sulphate monohydrate and for producing ferric sulphate |
abstract | process for producing sulfate monohydrate and for producing ferric sulfate. The invention provides a process for the production of ferrous sulfate manhydrate which comprises: (a) reacting an iron source with an aqueous sulfuric acid solution in at least one first reaction vessel to obtain a process liquor comprising ferrous sulfate and solution acidic; and then (b) combining the process liquor with the concentrated sulfuric acid in a mixing vessel, causing the solution to self-crystallize, thereby forming a slurry comprising crystalline ferrous sulfate monohydrate. The slurry, if desired, can then be converted to ferric sulfate. |
