titleOfInvention | METHODS FOR DETERMINING THE PRESENCE OF A LUMINESCENT BIOLOGICAL MARKER OF PHOTON PRODUCERS |
abstract | Methods for determining the presence of a photon-producing luminescent biological marker The present invention relates to a method for determining the presence of a photon-producing biological marker in a cell, tissue or organism of interest. the method is based on fluorescence by unbound luminescence excitation (fuel) and comprises the steps of a) providing suitable conditions for the biological marker to produce at least one first photon by luminescence; b) supply a pair of superior fuel probes (fpp-u) arranged close to the cell, tissue or organism, in which the at least one first photon from step a) excites the fpp-u, which emits at least a second photon . fpp-u can be selected from the group of quantum dots, carbon nanotubes, fluorescent proteins, diamond nanocrystals and metalloporphyrins. this method is characterized in that said biological marker and said fpp-u are not linked and that each of the at least one second photon (s) is of a longer wavelength than each of the at least one first photon (s). |
