abstract soy protein-based nutritional formula with superior stability. The present disclosure relates to soy protein-based powdered nutritional formulas, such as infant or child formulas up to three years old, which contain lutein and fructooligosaccharide (fos). fos stabilizes the lutein present in the formula, resulting in less dalutein degradation over the shelf life of the formula. When fed to newborns, nutritional formulas provide a pattern, frequency, and color of newborn feces that look much more like those of breastfed newborns.
