abstract fibrillar protein, composition, metastatic cancer cells, method and kit for suppressing cancer metastasis, and, method for making a composition. method are provided to suppress cancer metastasis. cancer metastasis is the most common cause of treatment failure and death in cancer patients. tumor cell invasion and / or migration can be significantly inhibited after treatment of fibrillar proteins (r-vp1, f-hsa, and f-bsa) in vitro. moreover, rvp1 can significantly suppress metastasis of murine and human breast cancer and metastasis of prostate and ovarian cancer of human in vivo while f-hsa can significantly suppress metastasis of murine breast cancer. the fibrillar protein compositions as therapeutic cancer metastasis products and their methods of use are provided herein.
