abstract |
process. The present invention relates to the substantially pure pentahydrate form of methylthioninium chloride which is prepared from methylthioninium chloride by phase equilibrium of suspensions, crystallization or solvent evaporation, whereby the water content of the solvent corresponds at a water activity of at least 0.4 at 25°C, and the controlled drying of said form the methylthioninium chloride pentahydrate within its ranges of humidity, pressure and temperature stability. |
