The present invention provides a process for producing an aqueous concentrated nano titania sol in the mild pH range (4.0 to 10.0) consisting of contacting an acid nano titan sol with a dispersant and alkalizing agent, and the nano titania sun is subjected to membrane filtration until the nano titania sun contains more than 300 g of thio-2 ~ / dm ^ 3 ^ nanoparticles. the nano titania sun may further undergo a coating treatment at any of the process steps described above. The nano titania aqueous concentrated sun of this presentation is suitable for use in a variety of applications including providing UV protection and photochemical degradation or inactivation of contaminants.
