titleOfInvention Antibiofilm action of but-3-in-1?yl 2,3-dideoxy-2-enopyranosid4-ulose against yeast strains of the genus cryptococcus
abstract antibiofilm action of but-3-in-1-yl 2,3-dideoxy-2-enopyranosid4-ulose against yeast strains of the cryptococcus genus. the present invention describes a compound obtained by the laboratory synthesis process, belonging to the carbohydrate class and which has antifungal action against the yeast cryptococcus spp. In the last decades, research has been carried out on new agents with such activity, but few alternatives are available for the treatment of cryptococcosis and even so, such alternatives bring adverse effects to patients already weakened by the disease, hindering the successful treatment of those affected by the disease. cryptococcosis. Research has been carried out on molecules with antifungal potential, testing them in vitro against isolated cells. however, when microorganisms infect a patient or are found in the environment, it often appears as a biofilm. the cryptococcus genus has this ability to develop biofilm, which is considered an important factor in the mechanism of cryptococcosis. with this, the present patent presents a proposal in which the molecule but3-yn-1-yl 2,3-dideoxy-2-enopyranosid-4-ulose or but-3-yn-1-yl 2,3-dideoxy-a -dglycero-hex-2-enopyranosid-4-ulose constitutes a potential substance for use in medicinal chemistry against biofilm formation of c. neoformans on organic and non-organic surfaces.
