titleOfInvention ILMENITE-BASED SELECTIVE ABSORPTION SURFACE FOR SOLAR THERMAL COLLECTORS
abstract Ilmenite becomes an alternative in the search for initiatives that allow the development of technologies and methodologies for the application of materials aimed at renewable energy sources. The present invention is a selective solar surface based on ilmenite for application in solar thermal collectors, obtained by the hollow cathode technique. The research results showed absorptive potential and low emissive losses, less than 14%, on the selective surfaces produced from ilmenite. In this sense, the application of this mineral as a selective material becomes viable, relieving the costs for processing pure titanium, material usually used for this application.
