antimicrobial bacterial cellulose dressings containing silver nanoparticles for use in the healing of chronic wounds and burns, obtaining process and obtained products. The present invention refers to dressings consisting of bacterial cellulose membranes (cb) containing silver nanoparticles (npag), to be used in the treatment of chronic wounds, obtained from the immersion of porous cb membranes in successive dilutions of npag, with concentration between 62.5 and 500 ppm. the proposed dressings present homogeneous distribution of silver particles in nanometric size on the surface of nanofibers of cb membranes; they are viable and nontoxic at the cellular level and promote inhibition of bacterial growth (against E. coli and S. aureus). therefore, they solve the problems present in the technical field, with regard to the rapid and large release of npag and/or silver compounds, which can cause toxicity, and to heterogeneous impregnation; thus being efficient for the treatment of chronic wounds and burns. |
