abstract | An integrated process (200A, 200B) for the production of first and second generation bioethanol is described, comprising a) preparing the must (60) to be fermented by mixing molasses (62) with the resulting hydrolysates (82, 102 and 111) from the pre-treatment step obtaining a concentration of total sugars between 50 and 300 g/L; b) ferment the must prepared in a) in a single vats (10), in two phases, by the action of the yeast S. cerevisiae at a concentration between 0.1 and 20% m/V, mediated by the enzyme xylose isomerase soluble or immobilized in concentration between 1 and 40% m/V, at pH between 3 and 9, temperature between 25 and 50°C; c) Separate and recover the yeast and enzyme used in b) in the vessel (40), obtaining a supernatant phase (42) containing the fermentation products and a yeast-rich phase (41) still containing partially or totally, the enzyme initially added, said enzyme being returned wholly or partially to the reactor (10); and d) separating the products from step (42) obtained in c) obtaining ethanol (51). |
