abstract | biodiesel production process with application of fungal cells for lipase production. The present invention refers to an optimized process for the production of biodiesel, in which live cells with metabolism in the log phase of aspergillus sp are added, which can be free or immobilized in polyurethane, to vegetable oil, used as a raw material, for the production of lipases that catalyze the production of biodiesel. after the production of enzymes, the fungal cells are removed from the system before the addition of alcohol, which allows the maintenance of its metabolism and its reuse in new cycles, followed by the esterification and transesterification reactions, with the addition of alcohol, for the production of biodiesel. considering that the described process dispenses with complex steps of purification of lipases and common to the art, such as: extraction, adsorption, chromatography and crystallization, to be applied as a biocatalyst; the present invention solves problems related to the high cost of using lipases, enables the reuse of biomass used in enzyme production and enables the use of live fungal cells with active metabolism in biodiesel production processes, in addition to being implemented in less time and at lower temperatures. |
