titleOfInvention | PHYTOTHERAPY FORMULATION CONTAINING EMBAUBA AND ORA-PRO-NOBIS EXTRACT WITH SCARING ACTIVITY |
abstract | The present invention deals with the use of aqueous, organic and hydroalcoholic extracts from embaúba leaves (Cecropia pachystachya Trécul, URTICACEAE) and ora-pro-nobis leaves (Pereskia aculeata Miller, CACTACEAE) to compose pharmaceutical formulations indicated for topical use for stimulation of healing, especially in skins of normoglycemic animals such as the modulation of inflammatory infiltrate, increased angiogenesis and vascular irrigation, increased deposition of mature collagen as early as the third day of treatment in hyperglycemic animals, in addition to increased vascularization and modulation of the inflammatory infiltrate, there is an increase in the deposition of young collagen on the 14th day, which contributes to the formation of a scar with a better structured and organized bed, extremely important for the cutaneous lesions in patients with diabetes, since these wounds are difficult to heal and there is no product with such a characteristic on the market. |
