titleOfInvention RHINOGONIOMETER
abstract rhinogoniometer. the present invention refers to a surgical instrument developed to measure the angle formed between the lateral branch of the lower lateral cartilages during a rhinoplasty, in addition to enabling the measurement of the nasofrontal and nasolabial angles in the pre, trans and postoperative periods. made of titanium with a smooth and sandblasted surface, it has a central cylindrical rod in the upper portion which, when activated, rotates on itself activating a multi articulated mechanism that allows the opening or closing of two rods of the goniometer, of which one has the graduation rule ranging from 40-160ยบ and another has the indicator of which angle is being measured. the device makes it possible to accurately measure the referred angles in rhinoplasty, by plastic surgeons and otolaryngologists, with dimensions appropriate for this purpose and improving the aesthetic and functional results.
