abstract | this invention is about obtaining a formulation for oral use and the therapeutic use of the compositions in the treatment of inflammatory processes as well as in the treatment of other pathologies such as those related to upper and lower respiratory tract infections. the formulation is produced from fractions or purified compounds of freeze-dried hydroalcoholic extracts, obtained from the leaves of punica granatum l. initially, the extracts are produced through the process of maceration in ethanol, or grain alcohol, methanol, or another solvent with equivalent polarity. they are concentrated by evaporation of water and alcohol, at reduced pressure, with a temperature between 40ºc to 70ºc, dried by means of lyophilization with temperature varying between -50ºc to -20ºc. afterwards, the lyophilisate is used to obtain the fractions by liquid / liquid partition using different organic solvents, such as hexane, ethyl acetate, methanol and chloroform, proceeding at the end of each fraction the same process of concentration and lyophilization. then, the lyophilized fractions are used for purification of isolated compounds by chromatography on a silica gel column with mobile phase proceeding from the collection of the filtrates, concentration and characterization by high performance liquid chromatography coupled to the mass spectrometer. |
