abstract | The present invention provides a pharmaceutical composition in a stable dosage form comprising double-layered tablets, wherein the first layer of said double-layer comprises cyclobenzaprine, its salts or solvates, and one or more pharmaceutically acceptable excipients; and the second layer of said double layer comprises etodolac, salts and solvates thereof, and one or more pharmaceutically acceptable excipients, wherein said dosage form overcomes the instability barrier between cyclobenzaprine and etodolac; as well as its manufacturing process, its use in the manufacture of a medicament for the treatment of pain and inflammation conditions processes, a medicament containing package and package containing said pharmaceutical composition, and furthermore a package comprising said pharmaceutical composition contained therein. in blister packs and instructions for administering said composition to a patient. The present invention addresses the problem of cyclobenzaprine and etodolac instability that occurs when both are formulated together, and provides a viable option for concomitant administration between an anti-inflammatory NSAID and a muscle relaxant. |
