The present invention deals with equipment (10) and early detection process of demineralization around orthodontic brackets (B1) bonded to tooth enamel (30) by means of autofluorescence (fl); Notably, said equipment and process include a practical fluorescence emission (fl) characterization system for various excitation wavelengths and an analysis methodology that allows separating the optimal regions with maximum contrast and the regions used in the normalization of measurements. Said photo-excitation spectroscopy system allows fluorescence emission to be collected for the full range of excitation wavelengths.
