abstract |
The present invention relates to a system that performs the radiofrequency thermal ablation procedure, especially the hepatic type. This system contains an electronically controlled equipment (1) with the aid of a computer program that performs the ablation procedure by means of an umbrella shaped electrode (9) made of a shape memory alloy. . Also presented is a method of processing and analysis of medical images, which checks the parameters relative to the area of the human body where the thermal ablation will be applied, indicating if the procedure can be performed. and from the data analyzed, the equipment (1) performs pre-procedure planning, monitoring during its execution and verification if the process has already reached the desired area, enabling the automatic shutdown of the system. |
