abstract | The present invention relates to the use of flavoring esters for the control of drosophilasuzukii, a pest that attacks various fruits, resulting in significant economic losses in fruit growing regions. Its use to repel or cause insecticidal effects has not been reported in any researched work or any other patent application. Therefore, the use of flavoring esters in pure form or in aqueous, alcoholic solution with chlorinated or non-chlorinated organic solvents in the control of drosophilasuzukii is claimed for insecticidal or repellent action. In addition, the preparation of these compounds is already known to the chemical industry, including on a large scale. In particular, the synthesis of flavoring esters occurs in good yields and low cost of production and their effect was proven in the experiment, where 100% of insects died in contact with the compounds in question and repellent effect was observed before death. |
