titleOfInvention PREPARATION AND USE OF CUJETE L. (BIGNONIACEAE) GROWTH EXTRACTS WITH INSECTICIDE POTENTIAL OF AGRICULTURAL AND URBAN PEST
abstract preparation and use of extracts of crescenfia cujete l. (bignoniaceae) with potential insecticidal potential of agricultural and urban pests The present invention describes the preparation and use of extracts of the plant species crescentia cujete l. (bignoniaceae) with insecticidal potential of agricultural and urban pests. In the agricultural area, pest insect infestation of crops causes several damages. Cauliflower (brassica oleracea var. acephala) is one of the world's main cultivated vegetables and an important source of income for farmers in Brazil. The plants are affected by several pests, including the cabbage aphid brevicoryne brassicae (hemiptera: aphididae). In Brazil, the control of this pest is made by spraying broad-spectrum chemical insecticides. However, the use of natural insecticides prepared with extracts or substances extracted from plants is a safe option that does not harm the environment and human health. the crude ethanolic extract of c. Cujete was highly active against the cabbage aphid, with 95.4% of insect mortality in the first 24 h, and 99.1% and 100% after 48 and 72 h, respectively. The organic insecticide (azamax®) had a mortality of 40.1%, 61.5 and 85.6% after 24, 48 and 72 h, respectively. The results showed that the crude extract of c. Cujete has potential as insecticide and / or larvicide against the cabbage aphid and other insects.
