Methods for controlling aquatic weeds using halauxifen or florpirauxifen or agriculturally acceptable esters or salts thereof in combination with one or more of diquat dibromide, copper, endothal or fluridone salts, or agriculturally acceptable salts or esters thereof, are described. The described herbicidal compositions take into account effective control and/or selectivity when treating a body of water, to control target aquatic weed populations, such as alligator weed, yellow sedge, brush weeds, early water grass, Echinocloa species, saramolla grass, Chinese sprangletop, Hydrilla, mil in Eurasian water vines and/or curly leaf water ear.
