titleOfInvention PNEUMATIC CYLINDER SYMBOL
abstract The invention relates to a pneumatic cylinder piston which is molded from thermoplastic material incorporated with solid powder lubricant and has a plastic insert incorporated with magnetic material which is positioned in the central region of the cylinder rod attachment. The piston comprises a circular disc shaped body (1,1 '') with a central opening (2,2 ') for securing the cylinder rod. near the periphery of the disc (1, 1 ') are thick annular flaps (3, 3') that perform the function of end-of-stroke impact absorbers. After the ring flaps (3, 3 ') are positioned ring lips (4, 4') which perform the sealing function against the inner wall of the cylinder. Inside the disc (1, 1 ') a plastic insert (5, 5') is mounted to ensure rigidity to the piston. The plastic insert (5 ') is molded from thermoplastic material. preferably the thermoplastic is a polyamide, more preferably nylon or polycarbonate. The thermoplastic material of the plastic insert (5 ') is magnetized by incorporating ferrite powder, preferably mixed with the pellet during the injection process. The piston body, that is, the circular disc (1,1 ') with thick annular flaps (3, 3') and annular lips (4,4 '), is molded from thermoplastic material. preferably the thermoplastic is tpu (polyurethane thermoplastic). To the thermoplastic is incorporated a solid powdered lubricating material, preferably during the injection process. The solid lubricating material is selected from graphite, molybdenum disulphide or teflon powder.
