| abstract |
"feed blocks and methods and systems for their production". The present invention relates to low moisture feed blocks that deliver supplemental nutrients to animals and are free or substantially free of molasses using concentrate separator by-product as a molasses substitute. A premix of the added concentrate and sugar separator by-product may be adjusted to pH and concentrated to a high solids content. The premix may be combined with the dry components to form a mixture which is poured into a container and allowed to cool and naturally harden into the supplemental feed block. |
