titleOfInvention | FORMULATION CONTAINING ALCOHOLIC MONOTERPENE AND B-CYCLODEXTRIN WITH ANALGESIC PROPERTY |
abstract | formulation containing alcoholic monoterpene and analgesic property 1-cyclodextrin The present patent application relates to the formulation containing citronellol, an alcoholic monoterpene, and analgesic property i3-cyclodextrin. Chronic pain is pain that persists beyond the normal time of tissue healing, lasting more than three months, and is generally recognized as a public health problem, with important physical and psychological consequences. Despite the commercially available drugs, painful syndromes such as fibromyalgia or neuropathic pain still have ineffective treatment, high cost and undesirable side effects, which drives the pharmaceutical industry to search for medicines. Thus, in order to obtain new sources of analgesic drugs and reduce side effects, we aimed to study the effect of citronellol complexed on 3-cyclodextrin, administered orally in male swiss mice at doses of 12.5, 25 and 50 mg / kg and compare their effect to that of pure citronellol. Thus, it can be noted the analgesic effect of the formulation studied as superior to that of pure citronellol, as well as its mechanism of action through the glutamatergic, opioid and adrenergic pathway, without inducing tolerance, which makes the present formulation. an important alternative for analgesic treatment. |
