titleOfInvention biceps tenodesis implants and application tools
abstract biceps tenodesis implants and application tools. The present invention relates to methods and devices for anchoring a ligament or tendon to a bone. In one embodiment, a surgical implant having a sheath is presented, and an expander that is received within the sheath. Various application tools are also presented, including a sheath inserter and a conductor. In use, the sheath inserter may be used to position a tendon within a prepared bone hole and may be used to guide the sheath, with a guidewire attached to it, into the bone hole. The conductor can be used to guide the expander into the sheath. A charger may optionally be used to carry the conductor and expander on the guide wire coupled to the implanted sheath.
