titleOfInvention FUNCTIONALIZATION PROCESS OF SILVER NANOPARTICLES WITH SNITROSOTHIOL GROUPS, NITRIC OXIDE CARRIER VEHICLE (NO) AND VEHICLE USE
abstract FUNCTIONALIZATION PROCESS OF SILVER NANOPARTICLES WITH S-NITROSOTHIOL GROUPS, NITRIC OXIDE CARRIER (NO) AND VEHICLE USE. The present invention refers to a process of functionalization of silver nanoparticle with S-nitrosothiols group, Nitric Oxide Carrier Vehicle (NO) and use of the vehicle. The invention is based on the combination of nanotechnology with NO-donor molecules to enable their therapeutic use and describes a process of functionalization of the surface of biogenic silver nanoparticles with therapeutic amounts of NO-donor S-nitrosothiol groups, as vehicles for the controlled release of AT THE. The carrier vehicle obtained increases the stability of NO and can be administered in vivo directly into the organ/tissue of interest to locally modulate the kinetics of NO release. In this way, the vehicle can be applied in the biomedical and pharmaceutical areas, as in compositions of topical products, ointments, gels, adhesives and cosmetic formulations; It can also be used in antimicrobial coatings of medical materials and fabrics, such as clothing, and in the agricultural area to protect food against harmful microorganisms.
