The present invention refers to a system and a process for the dry recovery of iron oxide fines from compact and semi-compact iron-bearing rocks, comprising primary (5), secondary (6) and tertiary (6) crushing means. 7, 7') for preliminary reduction of granulometry of ores containing iron oxide fines in compact and semi-compact rocks; fine grinding means (10, 10', 21) of reduced iron oxide minerals in the primary (5), secondary (6) and tertiary (7, 7') crushing, equipped with a dynamic air classifier (3.5, 4.6, 5.4) ; static air classification means (11, 12, 13) arranged in series for intermediate granulometric cuts and bag filters (14) for fine fraction retention; and magnetic separation means (15, 16, 17), with magnetic rollers (71, 72, 73) arranged in cascade at a variable angle of inclination, and formed by magnets of low and/or high magnetic intensity.
