titleOfInvention PREPARATIONS BASED ON FREEZE DRIED ACEROLA FOR TOPICAL USE IN HEALING PROCESSES
abstract PREPARATIONS BASED ON FREEZE DRIED ACEROLA FOR OPICAL USE IN HEALING PROCESSES. Cream formulated from lyophilized acerola pulp. It features different photochemicals that act in synergy and stimulate fast and effective healing. The formulation is prepared from lyophilized acerola pulp, with synergistic action between vitamins and flavonoids for topical use and tested in a healing model in albino rats. It will be approximately 40 to 50% smaller than similar ones. Phytotherapeutic, it is made exclusively from vegetable raw materials. Analyzes of antioxidants present in freeze-dried acerola pulps revealed high antioxidant activity and high levels of vitamin C, polyphenols, flavonols and total anthocyanins. The flavonoids quercetin and cyanidin were also identified. Initially, the acerola lyophilized product was homogenized in a non-ionic base (croda) and four cream concentrations were prepared: 0.5; 5; 10 and 20%, to be tested in a healing experiment, in order to select a better concentration to work with. After this initial experiment, the concentration selected for the evaluation of the healing effect was 10%. This product is valid for four months when kept refrigerated.
