titleOfInvention | Adhesives based on acrylates incorporated with propolis extract |
abstract | adhesives based on acrylates incorporated with propolis extract. the present invention relates to the synthesis of pressure sensitive adhesives (psa) based on butyl acrylate, acrylic acid and vinyl acetate, synthesized via emulsion copolymerization, and propolis extract is incorporated into these adhesives. such invention falls within the medical or pharmacological field, however, it can also be used in detachable materials consisting mainly of polymeric materials. the adhesive containing propolis extract is non-irritating, has intermediate adhesiveness to the commercial medical adhesives tested, has bactericidal, antifungal, anti-inflammatory properties and other characteristics inherent to propolis, and can be applied for any purpose in addition to the treatment of skins and tissues with irritations from fungi, bacteria and other types of lesions. associated with these properties and applications, the adhesive has the advantages of being easily removable without harming the damaged tissue area, serving as a matrix for the release of several active principles, having a low manufacturing cost and being produced with easily obtainable raw materials. . |
