abstract | monoclonal antibody against erythropoietin. The present invention relates to a monoclonal antibody (mab) against recombinant human erythropoietin glycoprotein (rhuepo). Said mab (mab-epoid) can be used as a tool for detecting rhuepo by immunoassays. in particular, mab-epoid is capable of detecting rhuepo protein in elisa and western blot assays, and rhuepo expression in eukaryotic cells by the immunofluorescence (if) technique. The mab-epoid described herein may be used for rhuepo gene expression analysis under conditions that mimic the conditions of artificially treated rhuepo organisms. In addition, mab-epoid can be applied in techniques for rhuepo concentration when adsorbed onto inert materials (magnetic particles or synthetic polymers). |
