abstract | Surface-Modified Silica-containing Rubber Compounds with Solid-State Reaction Epoxidized Oligomers - The present invention describes a vulcanizable rubber composition for use in tire treads which includes a silica coated with partially epoxidized polyadenic oligomer chains bonded together. chemically and directly to its surface without the presence of silanes. The invention can be applied to any rubber compounds which use silica as reinforcing filler, such as extruded and calendered soles, technical parts and profiles. The present invention pertains to the field of chemistry and is applicable to the tire and rubber artifact industry in general, liquid rubbers manufacturers and precipitated silica manufacturers. |
