titleOfInvention | pharmaceutical preparation containing carvacrol with b-cyclodextrin with antiinflammatory and antinociceptive property |
abstract | pharmaceutical preparation containing carvacrol with b-cyclodextrin with anti-inflammatory and antinociceptive property. The present invention relates to a novel formulation for use of carvacrol, the carvacrol b-cyclodextrin inclusion complex. It is a formulation whose active ingredient, carvacrol, complexed with b-cyclodextrin presents, in low doses, anti-inflammatory and antinociceptive properties in skeletal muscle injury model, reducing patient risks and treatment costs. Although this is an important clinical condition, pharmacological treatment for muscle inflammation still remains associated with numerous adverse effects, involves high costs and is often unsatisfactory, thus resulting in functional and labor disabilities. Therefore, the carvacrol inclusion complex with b-cyclodextrin represents a promising utility model, since the complexation guarantees the anti-inflammatory and antinociceptive effect of carvacrol even under low doses when administered orally. The present pharmaceutical formulation of the inclusion complex was tried at doses of 2.5 mg / 10 mg / kg and 20 mg / kg of carvacol. Results were obtained demonstrating the therapeutic advantage of using the compound in the complex inclusion form. |
