abstract method for obtaining a labeled antibody, method for diagnosing leptospirosis in vitro, use, and kit for detecting leptospira strains in biological fluids. The present invention is in the field of immunology. The present invention relates to a process for obtaining a labeled antibody comprising the steps of inoculating a rabbit leptospira interrogans culture; extraction of rabbit blood inoculated with the culture of leptospira interrogans; purification of the anti-leptospira interrogans igg antibody by caprylic acid precipitation; dialysis of the purified antibody; and conjugating the purified antibody to the n-hydroxysuccinamide dimethyl acridine ester (dmae-nhs). The present invention further relates to a method for diagnosing leptospirosis in vitro, which is to contact biological fluids suspected of containing leptospires with the labeled anti-leptospira interrogans igg antibody as obtained by the above process and to detect binding of the labeled antibody to leptospira. by chemiluminescence. The present invention further relates to the use of the labeled antibody as obtained by the above method for the detection of leptospira in vitro and a kit for the in vitro detection of the presence of leptospira strains in biological fluids comprising the anti-leptospira igg antibody. interrogans associated with the dmae-nhs acridine ester.
