abstract MULTI-COMPONENT PROCESS FOR SYNTHESIS OF FATTY DERIVATIVES OF GAMMA-AMINOBUTRIC ACID (GABA) FOR PHARMACOLOGICAL PURPOSES AND PRODUCTS The present invention describes a process for obtaining derivatives of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) from the multicomponent synthesis of nitroesters as advanced synthetic intermediates. for obtaining the gamma-amino acids. It is also the object of this invention, using the same process, the synthesis of new analogues of gamma-aminobutyric acid, beta-alkyl substituted with fatty chains consisting of four to twenty-two carbons (C4-C22), saturated, unsaturated and polyunsaturated, aiming at increasing of the lipophilicity of GABA analogues. The synthesis of nitroesters occurs through a multicomponent reaction in good yields with a simple and direct procedure, performed in a single step involving the condensation of aliphatic aldehydes (fatty) with Meldrum acid, nitromethane and ethanol or methanol in the presence of bifunctional catalysts. .
