The present invention aims to provide alternatives to the photoprotective molecules currently available primarily in the use of derivatives of Anacardium-derived species as stable photoprotective molecules to provide protection against ultraviolet wavelengths in the UV-A range, as well as processes for obtaining the compounds. In addition, the present invention also aims to provide novel compositions containing at least one of the compounds and their use in object or surface protection whose exposure to UV radiation is detrimental. The molecules used do not photodegrade in the presence of ultraviolet B rays and are obtained from renewable raw material. They are useful in the preparation of cosmetic, medicine or formulation intended for body surfaces such as skin, hair and nails; as well as surfaces of objects, machinery, furniture, automobiles; and electronic displays, displays, displays and panels, specifically for lightning protection in the ultraviolet A (UV-A) region. They are also useful in the preparation of paints, varnishes, coatings and the like, plastic compositions and mixtures thereof, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and mixtures thereof, textile products for lightning protection in the ultraviolet A (UV-A) region.
