The present invention describes the use of biopolymeric membranes for obtaining prostheses, cardiovascular prostheses comprising biopolymeric tubes and processes for obtaining them. In a preferred embodiment, the biopolymer membranes and / or tubes of the present invention comprise poly (urethane caprolactone). The membranes and tubes of the present invention have technical advantages over commercial vascular prostheses such as ptfe and dacron.
