abstract preparation process of functionalized graphite oxide nanofoils, products and uses. the article describes a method of producing graphite oxide nanoforms functionalized with amino groups, as well as the products and uses of these materials, based on an economic, compact and low environmental impact process. the process uses tetraethylenepentamine (tepa), is carried out via a microwave reactor, has a reduced time when compared to other existing processes, and does not require the use of thionyl chloride, a highly toxic reagent. Among the several relevant applications of the products obtained by this process is the use of technology in the polymer industry, for the formation of high performance composites that can meet the extreme operational conditions of the industry. these composites can be formed by the functionalized nanofoils incorporated into polymeric matrices, such as epoxy, polyamides, polycarbonates, poly (methylmethacrylate), polyurethanes and polystyrene, among others. examples of products made with these composites are materials for use in repairs and / or coatings for oil pipelines, joints and connections and adhesives, in order to increase resistance to impact and time of use due to the wide variation in temperature and pressure operating conditions, especially in the exploration of oil and gas in deep waters.
