titleOfInvention | Prototype of a canine visceral leishmaniasis serological diagnostics kit employing PROMASTIGOTH FORMS FIXED BY FLOW CYTOMETRY TECHNIQUE |
abstract | SOROLOGICAL DIAGNOSTIC KIT FOR CANINE VISCERAL LEISHMANIOSIS, USING PROMASTIGOTA FORMS FIXED BY FLOW CYTOMETRY TECHNIQUE. Diagnostic kit for IgG Anti-Promastigote Antibodies research using flow cytometry. For this purpose, Leishmania infantum promastigotes were produced and preserved at different temperatures and preservatives. Quality control evaluations have shown that formaldehyde at refrigerator temperature is the ideal condition for preserving antigens. The performance indices revealed excellent values of sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative and accurate predictive value. Given the above, an alternative for the diagnosis of CVL becomes available, which can be used to control the disease in Brazil. |
