OPTICAL DEVICE FOR DETECTION OF A SPECIFIC HEART INJURY MARKER |
abstract |
"Optical device for detecting a specific cardiac injury marker" the present invention relates to the manufacture of an optical device capable of detecting the troponin t macromolecule which has a direct relationship with the cardiac injury. the device consists of a source that focuses a laser on a bioelectrode that becomes luminescent after recognizing the specific marker of cardiac injury. a photomultiplier coupled with a spectrometer amplifies this signal, which in turn is acquired by interface to a specific software whose output expresses the luminescence in the form of a Gaussian curve in which the peak is related on the axis of the abscissa with the characteristic wavelength of the fluorophores made up of quantum dots and on the ordinate axis with the concentration of troponin t. the making of the bioelectrode is made possible by modifying a vitreous electrode with a translucent polymeric film that covalently binds to the anti-troponin t antibody. the selective recognition of the cardiac lesion marker troponin t by this bioelectrode is indirectly indicated by the emission of luminescence after additional couplings of high specificity and can thus be used for diagnostic purposes. |
