titleOfInvention | Recombinant multiepitope protein, its procurement process and its applications related to hepatitis b |
abstract | Recombinant multiepitope protein, its procurement process and its applications related to hepatitis b. This invention relates to a specially engineered recombinant antigenic protein containing different epitopes or most prevalent viral regions of the most representative hepatitis b virus in Brazil and worldwide. It is a multiepitope protein containing appropriately sized flexible connectors to facilitate the connection between different epitopes or viral fragments. This structural feature gives the protein greater sensitivity and specificity in recognizing anti-hbc antibodies. In addition, multiepitope protein induces a broader immune response that is desirable to address different applications related to hepatitis b detection, immunization, prevention and treatment, making it useful in the preparation of different products of interest to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. such as in vitro diagnostic kits for the detection of hepatitis b from physiological samples of humans, and immunogenic compositions, vaccines, drugs or biopharmaceuticals to prevent and treat this disease. Additionally, as an input for the production of monoclonal antibodies. Another aspect of the present invention is related to the process of obtaining such protein, based on cloning and heterologous expression in microorganisms. |
