titleOfInvention Depot formulations for controlled release
abstract "FORMULATIONS WITH DEPOSIT FOR CONTROLLED RELEASE". The present invention relates to methods and compositions for systemically or locally administering a beneficial agent to an individual, and include, for example, gel depot compositions which may be injected into a desired location and which provide for the release beneficial agent over a prolonged period of time. The compositions include a biocompatible polymer; a biocompatible solvent with low water miscibility, which forms a viscous gel with the polymer and limits the uptake of water by the implant; and a beneficial agent.
