The present invention relates to 1,4-dipiperidin-4-yl-piperazine derivatives with neurokinin antagonist activity, particularly NK-1 antagonist activity, their preparation, compositions containing them and their use as drug, particularly for the treatment of emesis, anxiety, depression, pain, pancreatitis and IBS. The compounds according to the invention may be represented by the general formula (I) and also comprise the pharmaceutically acceptable acid or base addition salts thereof, the stereochemically isomeric forms thereof, the N-oxide form thereof and prodrugs thereof. drugs thereof, all substituents being defined as in claim 1. In view of their ability to antagonize the actions of neurokinins by blocking neurokinin receptors, and particularly to antagonize the actions of substance P by blocking the receptor of NK-1, the compounds according to the invention are useful as medicaments, particularly in the prophylactic and therapeutic treatment of neurokinin-mediated diseases, such as, for example, CNS disorders, particularly depression, anxiety disorders, associated disorders. stress, sleep disorders, cognitive disorders, personality disorders, schizoafeti disorders eating disorders, neurodegenerative disorders, addiction disorders, mood disorders, sexual dysfunction, pain, and other CNS-associated conditions; inflammation; allergic disorders; emesis; gastrointestinal disorders, particularly irritable bowel syndrome (IBS); skin disorders; vasospastic disorders; fibrosis and collagen diseases; disorders associated with immune intensification or suppression and rheumatic diseases and body weight control.
