titleOfInvention 2'-c-methyl-3'-o-1-valine ribofuranosyl cytidine ester for treatment of flaviviridae infections
abstract RIBOFURANOSYL CYTIDINE 2'-C-METHYL-3'-OL-VALINE FOR FLAVIVIRIDAE INFECTION TREATMENT BD-2'-C-methyl ribofuranosyl cytidine 3'-L-valine ester provides superior results against flaviviruses and pestiviruses, including hepatitis C virus. Based on this discovery there are provided compounds, compositions, processes and uses for treating flavivirudae, including HCV, which include the administration of the effective amount of val-mCyd pu sl, prodrug ester or optionally derivative thereof. in a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. In an alternative embodiment, val-mCyd is used to treat any virus that replicates via an RNA-dependent RNA polymerase.
