abstract "COMPOSITIONS, SKIN CONTACT DEVICE, APPARATUS AND SKIN SURFACE TREATMENT METHODS, AN EPYTHELIC CELL LAYER, SKIN SURFACE CLEANING AND PROTECTION SKIN". A composition and method of producing a composition that stimulates hydration, cleansing and other properties of the native vertex. The composition contains synthetic cells hydrated in a lipid matrix to provide rheological properties that are substantially similar to those of the native vertex, and may also contain proteins. In one embodiment, the composition contains cubosomes / water of up to about 30% protein and about 5% lipids to about 30% lipids. The composition can be used to clean newborn skin, compromised skin surfaces as well as normal skin to provide hydration / barrier function, and other applications.
