| abstract | "COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR INCREASING ANIMAL MILK PRODUCTION". The invention provides a composition for increasing milk yield in an animal which includes an active compound chosen from calcium isopropyl cresol, calcium isopropyl o-cresol, lactic acid or combinations thereof, and calcium carbonate as a buffering agent. The invention also provides a composition for increasing milk yield in an animal comprising from about 0.1 wt% to about 15 wt% of the total weight of the active compound composition, wherein the active compound is chosen from isopropyl cresol. calcium, isopropyl-o-cresol calcium, and lactic acid, approximately 40 wt% to approximately 75 wt% of the total weight of the calcium carbonate composition, and approximately 10 wt% to approximately 60 wt% of the total weight of the composition of at least one vehicle. The invention also provides a method for increasing milk production in an animal which includes making a composition having an active compound chosen from calcium isopropyl cresol, calcium isopropyl-o-cresol, lactic acid, or combinations thereof, and carbonate. calcium as a buffering agent, and provide the composition to the animal, wherein the consumption of the composition increases the milk production in the animal. |
