"COMPOUND, AND, METHOD TO CONTROL THE GROWTH OF BACTERIA, FUNGI, ALGAE AND YEASTS". New anti-microbial compounds based on 5-substituted 3-isothiazolones, where the 5-substituent is aryl group or heterocyclic ether / thioether, are disclosed. These 5-substituted 3-thiazolones provide enhanced anti-microbial activity over related 3-isothiazonones, particularly when the 5-substituted is substituted pyridinyl thioether group. |
