abstract "RECEPTOR ANTIBODIES FOR INSULIN GROWTH FACTOR I". The present invention relates to antibodies and antigen binding portions thereof which specifically bind to insulin-like growth factor receptor I (IGF-IR), which is preferably human IGF-IR. The invention also relates to human anti-IGF-IR antibodies, including chimeric, bispecific, derivative, single chain antibodies or fusion protein portions. The invention also relates to isolated heavy and light chain immunoglobulin molecules derived from anti-IGF-IR antibodies and nucleic acid molecules encoding such molecules. The present invention also relates to methods for preparing anti-IGF-IR antibodies, pharmaceutical compositions comprising these antibodies and methods for using the antibodies and compositions thereof for diagnosis and treatment. The invention also provides methods of gene therapy using nucleic acid molecules encoding heavy and / or light chain immunoglobulin molecules comprising human anti-IGF-IR antibodies. The invention also relates to transgenic animal and gene therapy methods comprising nucleic acid molecules of the present invention.
